I have exciting news to share about the ownership of the Iyengar Yoga Center of Boise. Naomi Jones and her husband, Paul Graham, will be taking over the business as of June 1st.
Naomi and Paul are very committed to the practice of Iyengar yoga and plan to keep Iyengar yoga classes as a key part of the studio offerings moving forward. All active class passes will be honored and the virtual class option will continue to be available for the immediate future.
For those of you who don’t know her, Naomi is the co-creator of the Sage Yoga School and founder of the Idaho Health and Yoga Awareness organization. Naomi was also granted a proclamation by Governor Butch Otter in 2013 for “Idaho Health and Yoga Awareness Week June 3-9th.” With this proclamation, she started the first statewide “Yoga Week.” Read more about Naomi’s yoga path and experience here.
Paul is a meditation teacher and Ayurveda health counselor. He is the owner of Source, a meditation studio in downtown Boise.
Naomi and Paul are very influential members of the local yoga community and they have the right vision, network and energy to take our studio into its next chapter, keeping it viable for our students, instructors and broader yoga community.
As they plan to expand the offerings in the studio, the name will change. Although the studio will have a new name, Iyengar yoga will still be available and all of your favorite instructors will continue to teach. They don’t anticipate a lot of change to happen right away and want to take the time to get to know our students and instructors as future plans are being developed.
Please welcome and show your support to Naomi and Paul as they evolve the studio into a new era. They have an inspiring vision for what they want the studio to become and I’m looking forward to seeing that vision come to life as we share our beautiful space with a broader community.
We will do our best to make the transition as seamless as possible. As with all change, there may be a few glitches, so I appreciate your patience over the next couple of months as we work through everything.
The past four years have been an amazing journey for me and I’m incredibly humbled by the support you’ve all shown, especially during this past year. Thank you for your help and encouragement – I couldn’t have taken this venture on without you. I have so much gratitude for the warmth, learning and fun we’ve created in this amazing space. I have complete confidence that our Boise Iyengar community will continue to thrive. See you in class!
